Minister Le Thanh Long paid a working visit to Thai Binh Department of JusticeOn 28 September 2016, Minister of Justice Le Thanh Long paid a working visit to Thai Binh Department of Justice.Mr. Hoang Sy Thanh, General Director of General Department of Civil Judgment Enforcement, Mr. Nguyen Hong Tuyen, Director of Department of General Affairs on Legislative Development, Mrs. Do Hoang Yen, Director of Department of Judicial Assistance, Mr. Hoang Quoc Hung, Director of National Center for Criminal Record, Mr. Ngo Hai Phan, Director of Department of Administrative Procedure Management and representative of other units attached to the Ministry participated in the working visit. As for the Thai Binh province, Mr. Pham Van Xuyen, Vice Chairman of People’s Committee attended this event.
Reporting at the working session, Director of Thai Binh Department of Justice Dinh Trong Xa emphasized that the Department has closely followed direction of the Ministry of Justice, other ministries and local leaders to comprehensively implement key activities in all judicial aspects. In which, some fields that were well performed are legal dissemination and education, and administrative procedure management. In addition, state management over civil status, legal aids and criminal record has been improved. Others such as legal document appraisal and examination, administrative sanction and law implementation monitoring have also reached positive results. However, the activity of the Department still has several drawbacks and weaknesses. For example, state management over lawyers and property auction has not met the demand of the Sector.
On the one hand, Mr. Pham Van Xuyen, Vice Chairman of Thai Binh People’s Committee affirmed that the Department of Justice has well performed the assigned tasks. Accordingly, the activities of the Department are contributing to the socio-economic development of the locality. On the other hand, the Vice Chairman requested the Department to pay much more attention to personnel issue in order to enhance the effectiveness of the Department’s duties.
Addressing the working session, Minister Le Thanh Long appreciated the efforts of the Thai Binh Department of Justice and its achievements recently. Basically, the Department implemented comprehensively key activities in all aspects, closely following the direction of ministries and locality. In which, many tasks were performed with very good results. However, according to the Minister, the Department has not had any breakthrough aspect to lift its operation to a higher level.
In the coming time, the Department needs to focus on implementing newly-adopted laws such as Law on Civil Status and Law on Legal Document Promulgation; improving the activities of inspection and examination of socialized fields; ensuring the quality and duration of promulgation of legal normative documents on business investment conditions; and promoting the application of IT to the daily Department’s operation, Mr. Le Thanh Long added.
Within the framework of the working visit, the Ministry of Justice delegation also had working sessions with Provincial Party Committee, People’s Council, People’s Committee and Civil Judgment Enforcement Agency on judicial and civil judgment enforcement tasks of the Thai Binh province./.
