Advisory Council for Administrative Procedure Reform makes its debut
On April 10, Ministry of Justice held the ceremony announcing the Prime Minister’s decision on establishing the Advisory Council for Administrative Procedure Reform.
According to the decision, the Council will be led by Minister of Justice Ha Hung Cuong. The 26-member Council is responsible for proposing initiatives for reforming administrative regulations regarding business activities and daily life and evaluating the progress of administrative procedure reform of ministries, agencies and localities.

Earlier on June 23, 2008, the Minister-Chairman of the Office of Government had established the same council which functioned as the representative of business circle, scientists, associations to submit ideas for administrative procedure reform.

However, to ensure the effectiveness of the Office of Government’s council, the Prime Minister on February 28, 2013 decided to set up the 26-member Council.

Addressing at the ceremoby, Deputy Prime Minister Nguyen Xuan Phuc emphasized that administrative reform is always among key tasks in the master program on state administration reform to build up a transparent, professional and effective administrative system, which contributes to improve the business and investment environment in Vietnam.
