The Committee revising draft Constitution on March 13 had plenary session for the third time in Hanoi. National Assembly Chairman Nguyen Sinh Hung, Chairman of the Constitution Amendments Committee, chaired the meeting.
The committee affirmed that any amendments to the 1992 Constitution must comply with the rule that all State power belongs to the people; the amendments would contribute to building a socialist-oriented market economy, developing culture, education, science and technology, ensuring social equality, and institutionalising policies on national defence and social security as well as international integration.
The Committee members reviewed the draft report on the 1992 Constitution and suggested alterations to ensure synchronic renewal in both politics and economy, in accordance with current development needs.
The Committee appreciated and applauded the related agencies, organizations and sectors that effectively, comprehensively implemented the work of reviewing the implementation of the 1992 Constitution.
