Seminar on building and managing criminal record In the framework of the Justice Partnership Program (JPP) supported by the European Union, Sweden and Denmark, Ministry of Justice held "the Seminar on building and managing criminal record database" in Hanoi on June 15. Deputy Minister of Justice Nguyen Thuy Hien attended the seminar and delivered opening speech.Attending the seminar were representatives of General Statistics Department under the Supreme People's Court, the Central Military Court, Institute for Prosecution Sciences under theSupreme People’s Procuracy, C53 and the 8th General Department under Ministry of Public Security, People's Court of Hanoi,provincial or municipal Justice Departments (Hanoi, Bac Ninh, Nam Dinh, Dien Bien, Hai Phong, Hue, Nghe An, Son La, Da Nang, Thai Binh, Tuyen Quang, Quang Nam, Yen Bai ...) and representatives from departments under Ministry of Justice.At the seminar, experts and representatives of relevant agencies presented reports on building and managing data for National Criminal Record Center and Justice Departments; managing the citizen'sidentity; searching and providing criminal records; practice of information statistics and management on the trials of criminal cases and criminal judgment enforcement of the People's Court ...The seminar delegates also exchanged views on the coordination mechanism in providingcriminal records; experiences on building and managing the database of criminal record; applying information technology in criminal record management…/.-ITD
