On April12, in Brussel (Belgium), Deputy Minister of Justice Ministry Hoang The Lien, head of the Vietnamese interdisciplinary delegation co-chaired the 6th session of the Subcommittee on Vietnam - EU in building, improving administration, governance and human rights.
Vietnamese delegation included representatives from the Ministry of Justice, Ministry of Foreign Affairs, the People's Supreme Court, People's Supreme Procuracy and Ministry of Public Security. With the spirit of openness, goodwill and mutual respect, both sides exchanged views on issues of common concern, the results of co-operation over the past two years and orientations for cooperation in 2013 and in the coming time.
They also discussed issues relating to the rule of law, the great results that Vietnam has made in legal reform, judicial reform in recent times; experience in the fight against corruption from policy makers, migration, people trafficking. Besides, both sides mentioned the legal framework to ensure the implementation of human rights, civil rights, civil society development in Vietnam.
