On March 26, Deputy Minister Hoang The Lien hosted a reception to Ms Chan Sotheavy, Secretary of State at the Cambodian Ministry of Justice.
At the meeting, the Deputy Minister was glad with the recent development in Vietnamese and Cambodian relationship, especially in the legal and judicial cooperation. In 2012, two countries signed the agreement on legal assistance in civil and commercial matters, helping to promote the comprehensive cooperation between two countries. In November 2013, two countries will hold the judicial conference between the provinces that share a border.
Thanks for the Deputy Minister’s warm welcome, Ms Chan Sotheavy also expressed her hope to further enhance the cooperation between two Ministries of Justice. Two sides then discussed matters relating to the child protection and juveline crime.
Earlier, the delegation of Cambodian Ministry of Justice had a working session with agencies under Ministry of Justice to exchange experiences in establishing reformatory schools for juveline offenders.
