The visit aimed at exchanging experience on the civil status registration and management to build and complete the draft Law on Civil Status of Vietnam.
On the first meeting, MOJ delegation has worked with the German Ministry of Home Affairs with the participation of Dr. Heribert Schmitz, Deputy Minister and Director of Department III (in charge of the civil law); Deputy Minister Franz Schnauhuber and other legal experts from the Ministry of Home Affairs.
On the same day, Deputy Minister Dinh Trung Tung had a talk with Deputy Minister Rainer Bockstette and German legal experts on the construction and management of electronic databases for civil status in the Federal Republic of Germany. The German experts shared experiences with Vietnameses counterparts on issues relating to the civil status registration and management. These are valuable experiences for Vietnam in perfecting the Civil Status Law in the coming time.
In the next few days, the MOJ delegation will have working sessions in a number of civil registration offices in Berlin.
