Vietnam officially applied for accession to the Hague Conference of International Justice
On September 28, in The Hague, administrative capital of the Netherlands, Minister of Justice Ha Hung Cuong, on behalf of Vietnamese Government  and under authorization by Prime Minister Nguyen Tan Dung, has signed and submitted official Letter of Vietnam for accession to the Hague Conference on international Justice. On the same day, the Dutch government sent a letter to Secretary General of the Hague Conference on International Justice to introduce and propose the Hague Conference to take into consideration Vietnam's proposal.

Secretary General of the Hague Conference has then signed Letter sending to all Member States for a vote to accept Vietnam as a member state. Thus, within six months from September 28, 2012 as defined in Article 2 of the Regulation on the Hague Conference of international justice, if the majority of the member states accept, Vietnam will officially become a member of the most prestigious organization in the field of international justice.

The accession to the Hague Convention, a highly professional organization of international legal science, continues to be a significant step of Vietnam in the process of international integration, marking the intensive and extensive integration of Vietnam  in the international legal life, showing Vietnam's willingness to cooperate with other countries to support each other in dealing with the legal requirements management of international justice.
