Vietnam and Australia: further enhance the cooperation in the legal fields
On June18, Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of Australia to Vietnam Allaster Cox  came to say farewel  Minister of Justice Ha Hung Cuong before completing his working term in Vietnam.

On behalf of the Ministry of Justice Minister Ha Hung Cuong gave thanks for Australia’s cooperation with Vietnam in recent years and during the Ambassador’s term in Vietnam, especially legal expert training. He also expressed the hope that the bilateral cooperation will develop positively and the two Ministries of Justice would continue to effectively implement the cooperation agreements including the agreement on judicial assistance in civil, commercial fields, the mutual Agreement on legal assistance in criminal matters ... to create the sustainable cooperation between two Ministries of Justice.

Ambassador Allaster Cox thanked for the strong, enthusiastic and efficient cooperation of the Ministry of Justice. The Ambassador wished Ministry of Justice would sucessfully implement the assigned tasks, especially in the perfection of the legal system and law enforcement in Vietnam

Both side also discussed legal issues of mutual interest such as the administrative sanctions for drug users, handling crimes’ property that may be seized following the spirit of the UN Convention on anti-corruption corruption, amending the Criminal Code…
