Vietnam - United States: Opportunities to enhance cooperation in various fields
Justice Minister Ha Hung Cuong on October 13 had a meeting with U.S. Ambassador to Vietnam David Shear to discuss issues of concern to both parties.
At the meeting, Ambassador David Shear has expressed his delight with developing Vietnam-US relations, especially in the economic, diplomatic, legal and judicial fields. He affirmed that two countries had lots of opportunities to strengthen cooperation in other fields and these cooperations would bring about benefits to both countries. On the child adoption issue, the Ambassador strongly supported and appreciated Vietnam's efforts in participating in Hague Convention on adoption and hoped that the two countries would soon resume child adoption activities in the near future.

Minister Ha Hung Cuong said that Vietnam - US relations in recent years have witnessed rapid changes. The Minister also highly spoke of US supports to Vietnam in legal and judicial areas. On this occasion, he wished the Ambassador to successfully fulfill his task in this term in Vietnam, which would contribute to promoting cooperative relations between the two nations./-ITD
