DECISION
Decision No. 57/QD-TTg of January 12, 2010, approving the placement of cultural attacheacute;s in a number of key foreign countries
THE PRIME MINISTER
Pursuant to the December 25, 2001 Law on Organization of the Government;
Pursuant to June 18, 2009 Law No. 33/2009/QH12 on Overseas Representative Missions of the Socialist Republic of Vietnam, of the XIIthnbsp;lowercase National Assembly, the 5thnbsp;session;
Pursuant to the Prime Ministerrsquo;s Decision No. 196/2007/QD-TTg of December 28, 2007, approving the Scheme on organizational apparatus and payroll of overseas Vietnamese representative missions;
At the proposal of the Minister of Culture, Sports and Tourism,
DECIDES:
Article 1. To approve the placement of the Culture, Sports and Tourism Ministryrsquo;s cultural attacheacute;s in five key countries, including China, Cambodia, Japan, Russia and the United States of America.
Cultural attacheacute;s belong to the payroll norms of overseas Vietnamese representative missions.
Article 2. Organization of implementation
1. The Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism shall assume the prime responsibility for, and coordinate with the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, the Ministry of Home Affairs and the Ministry of Finance in, placing cultural attacheacute;s in the five key foreign countries in 2010.
The Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism shall define specific tasks of cultural attacheacute;s; and appoint officials to perform these tasks according to current regulations of the State.
2. The Ministry of Home Affairs shall assign the payroll norm of overseas Vietnamese cultural attacheacute;s under this Decision.
Article 3. This Decision takes effect on the date of its signing.
Article 4. The Ministers of Culture, Sports and Tourism; Foreign Affairs; Finance; and Home Affairs and heads of government-attached agencies shall implement this Decision.
